UK Markey Cancer Center Affiliate Network 

Your cancer care at Med Center Health is backed by affiliations with some of the country’s finest organizations, such as the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center – the state’s first and only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center which recently achieved NCI’s highest honor — Comprehensive Cancer Center Designation.

As a member of the UK Markey Cancer Center Affiliate Network and the UK Markey Cancer Center Research Network, we bring the most advanced cancer care available to Southcentral Kentucky. In addition to collaborating in ground-breaking research, we can provide access to additional specialty and subspecialty physicians and care, including clinical trials and advanced technology, while allowing you to stay close to home for most treatments.

Advanced Technologies and Treatments

Our Radiation Oncology program at The Medical Center Cancer Treatment Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology, an acknowledgment of the high practice standards you can count on.

The Medical Center at Bowling Green has earned three-year accreditation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC) and has maintained national accreditation since 2004. This enables us to offer patients access to comprehensive, state-of-the-art cancer care close to home.

Surgical cancer care is offered through Med Center Health Surgical Oncology. The practice is led by board-certified and fellowship-trained surgical oncologist Prejesh Philips, M.D., who is affiliated with UofL Physicians. Dr. Philips sees patients in Bowling Green for consultation, pre-op and post-op appointments, with surgeries performed in Louisville.
