How we can help

Depending on the results of your screening mammogram, we utilize many tools to rule out or make a cancer diagnosis. These may include:

  • IMAGING – a more detailed diagnostic mammogram or an ultrasound may be needed if a screening mammogram detects an abnormality
  • BREAST BIOPSIES – removal of tissue or cells that are reviewed by a pathologist to determine if cancer is present
  • GENETIC RISK ASSESSMENTS – may be appropriate for individuals with a family history of breast cancer

If cancer is diagnosed, we will work with you to develop a customized plan tailored to your needs. We use a multidisciplinary approach and coordinate with other healthcare providers as needed. Treatment options include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy or oral hormonal therapy. Your specific treatment will depend upon your general health, your disease, and your goals. Your treatment plan may include more than one therapy.

We will keep your primary care physician informed as you progress through your treatment plan.
