As a 42-bed acute care hospital, it provides the community with first-rate inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency services, 24/7. COVID-19 Vaccinations Available in Clinton County
The Medical Center at Albany has been designated a Regional Vaccination Location by the Kentucky Governor’s Office. The vaccine is being administered to all persons over the age of 18. Please call 606-387-3690 for availability of vaccine for those under the age of 18. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Vaccinations are given on Wednesdays and by appointment at The Medical Center at Albany. Arrive at the front atrium for screening and you will be directed to the Vaccine Clinic Area.
Schedule a vaccine appointment by calling 606-387-3690. Med Center Health will bill insurance companies for administration costs and individuals will not incur any costs. The vaccine will be provided regardless of whether or not a person has insurance.
People requesting the vaccine must be Kentucky residents. A Kentucky driver’s license or form of Identification to prove residency and age will be required. Those with an appointment are asked to not arrive more than 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment.
COVID-19 Testing
COVID-19 Testing is available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A provider’s order is required.
- Park in labeled parking spaces near hospital Ambulance entrance.
- Call the number posted so you can be registered by phone.
- A member of the ED staff will come to your vehicle to do the test.

As an eye surgeon, Dr. Areephanthu specializes in treating cataracts, glaucoma and retinal disorders such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. His primary focus is providing evaluation, medical management and surgical treatment of eye conditions in patients age 18 and older. Eye surgeries will be performed at The Medical Center at Albany.
