Muhammad Shoaib Akbar, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a dedicated interventional cardiologist serving Southcentral Kentucky. With a focus on overall well-being, Dr. Akbar is committed to his patients. He combines his expertise with a patient-centered approach to deliver exceptional results. He is board certified in Nuclear Cardiology and Adult Echocardiography. In addition to patient care, Dr. Akbar serves as a Vice President of the WKHL Research Foundation and Educational Trust. He is also an Assistant Professor with the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and he is the Program Director for the Cardiology Fellowship Program.
