About Abigail DeBusk, D.O.

About Dr. DeBusk:

Dr. Abigail DeBusk earned her degree at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine, and completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UK College of Medicine and is one of the team physicians at Western Kentucky University.

Personal Statement:

“One of my favorite things about being trained in family medicine is that I get to treat patients of all ages. I see children, seniors and everyone in between. As a primary care sports medicine physician, I see a lot of non-operative sports injuries and arthritis. Not every injury requires surgery, and that’s where I come in. There are other techniques that we can use, whether it’s physical therapy, massage therapy or injections. We will avoid or delay surgery if it’s not needed.”
