Applications now being accepted for Summer Teen Ambassador Program

Med Center Health is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2025 Summer Teen Ambassador Program.

Since the inaugural program in 2022, high school students serving as Summer Teen Ambassadors spend time volunteering and shadowing healthcare professionals across The Medical Center at Bowling Green.  They are divided into groups, and each day the groups rotate through different departments throughout the hospital. Opportunities available with the Teen Ambassador Program include shadowing surgical technicians, visiting the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and the Intensive Care Unit floors, and so much more.

“This is an incredible program that allows high school students, interested in a career in healthcare, hands-on volunteer experience in a number of departments throughout the hospital,” said Joe Thompson, Manager of Volunteer Services at Med Center Health. “Not only will these students get firsthand knowledge of the inner workings of the hospital, they will also network with professionals who can serve as mentors and references as they navigate their future careers.”

The program runs from June 16 – July 25.

Students accepted into the program will be at the hospital every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. during the six-week session.

The application is open to all high school students, including 2025 graduating seniors.

To apply, please visit: https://medcenterhealth.org/teen-ambassador-program/. The deadline to submit an application is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21.
