OB Hospitalist Program

Med Center Health is committed to the care of women and newborns. As part of this, The Medical Center at Bowling Green has partnered with Ob Hospitalist Group to help provide high-quality, consistent care to patients as well as emergent care to those arriving in Labor and Delivery. These OB/GYN physicians enhance patient safety and improve the coordination and efficiency of care.

Types of urgent cases the OB hospitalists might see include pregnant patients who require emergency care, ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages and tubo-ovarian abscesses. They also manage labor, perform deliveries, manage emergent patients, assist with C-sections, perform labor checks, care for GYN emergencies and visit ob postpartum patients.

OB Hospitalists do not replace your regular physician, but will provide peace of mind since an OB/GYN is available at a moment’s notice to step in to provide care. Because OB hospitalists are always onsite, they can provide immediate surgery or manage problems until your OB/GYN arrives.
