Emergency Medical Services

When you call for an ambulance in an emergency, it’s often a life-threatening situation. That’s why we operate Med Center EMS, the most recognized EMS in our region with awards from state, national and international accreditation organizations for our excellent service and training.

As one of the most crucial and visible departments within Med Center Health, you see our ambulances out in Warren County every day. Whether in a life-saving situation at a traffic accident or standing by at sporting events, these extraordinary community servants are prepared to help in any situation.

Medical Center EMS is organized into three divisions: Basic Life Support Service, Advanced Life Support and Special Emergency Response Team, which intervenes with hazardous materials, a large causality event like storm or natural disaster, or other extreme situation.

As one of only three EMS services in Kentucky accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services, Medical Center EMS is proud of this designation, considered the gold standard for EMS services. In addition, our Communications Center has attained International Academies of Emergency Dispatch status as a Center of Excellence. We’ve also been recognized by the American Heart Association for excellence in treating heart attack victims. The Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services and its Kentucky EMS for Children has also recognized Med Center EMS for excellent pediatric care.
