Med Center Health Employee Donations Top $2 Million

Med Center Health Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Med Center Health, announced the Employees Contributing to Help Others (ECHO) program recently reached the $2 million mark. ECHO is a program that offers employees of Med Center Health the opportunity to choose payroll deduction when donating to the Foundation each pay period. All of the money raised goes directly to patient care at the Community Clinic/The Dental Clinic, to house family members of patients of The Medical Center at the Hospitality House, to help cancer patients pay for medications and transportation costs, or other community benefit of the employee’s choosing offered by Med Center Health.

“Our employees believe in our mission,” said Connie Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Every day, they see the need that is out there and are committed to making our communities better places to live. Every dollar donated changes lives—and through the years, our employees have made a huge difference, especially for patients who may have believed quality healthcare was out of reach. I am so proud of everyone who is part of the ECHO program.”

The ECHO program was established in 2000 and currently has more than 1,000 members. To learn more about ECHO and other opportunities for giving supported by Med Center Health Foundation, visit MCHealth.Foundation.
