The Medical Center provides a hospital chaplain to minister to the spiritual needs of patients, their families, and hospital staff. The chaplain visits with each new patient and follows up with patients and families who may need additional spiritual support and care. The chaplain is available to provide spiritual guidance, prayer, counseling and literature to aid anyone in need. Literature includes “Guidepost” magazines and “Our Daily Bread” devotionals. Lexington
The Mind Body Studio offers mindfulness-based stress reduction programs that focus on teaching you to access and cultivate your natural capacity to actively engage in caring for yourself and find greater balance, mindfulness, and stress reduction. The Mind Body Studio is a wellness and health education service of Family Practice physician John A. Patterson. This is not affiliated with University of Kentucky but UK employees and trainees can participate at a reduced cost. There is a one day weekend course on Saturdays that can be useful for learners located in Bowling Green who can’t attend the eight week course.
