Self pay

Patients who are uninsured or fail to provide us with adequate billing information including proper managed care authorization referrals are responsible for the payment of their bill.

What to expect if you are a self-pay at one of our hospitals:

If you do not have insurance, we automatically apply a Self-Pay Discount to hospital charges, which reduces those charges by 40%.

At registration, during your stay, or subsequent to your stay, you will be asked for information to determine your eligibility for state or federal assistance programs.

Shortly after your stay, you will receive a statement showing the amount due after the Self-Pay Discount requesting that you pay or contact us within 10 days. If you need assistance, please contact us to discuss how our payment plans and financial assistance programs. You can contact a Customer Service Representative at either 270-745-1100 or 800-786-1581.

At registration, you will be asked to verify your contact information.

Many of our physician clinics and other facilities offer a Self-Pay Discount of 40% as you would receive at one of our hospitals. These discounts are automatically applied, and you should see this discount applied on your statements. The following facilities offer a 40% discount:

  • Med Center Health Heart, Lung, & Vascular Surgeons
  • Med Center Health Hematology & Oncology
  • Med Center Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine
  • Med Center Health Radiation Oncology
  • Med Center Health Surgical Specialists
  • Med Center Health Urology
  • Med Center Health Vein Clinic
  • Med Center Health Surgical Weight Loss Program
  • Women’s Health Specialists

Other facilities may offer discounts. Please inquire with the facility or physician clinic or contact Customer Service at either 270-745-1100 or 800-786-1581.

Quick Pay Discount:

A 10% Quick Pay discount is available to patients who pay at the time of service. It is also available to patients who wish to pay in full after receiving your first statement and prior to receiving your second statement. Contact us if you wish to receive this discount option for your self-pay balance with or without insurance. The Quick Pay Discount is not available on any co-pay payments as determined by your insurance.
