Physical Rehabilitation
Inpatient Rehabilitation
The Medical Center at Russellville provides a comprehensive team to ensure that each patient has the opportunity and the support to reach their maximum functional independence for a better quality of life once they return home. We offer:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Dietary Consultation
- Case Management & Discharge Planning
Rehabilitation is individualized for each patient and is supervised and coordinated with our team of rehabilitation physicians to provide a team approach to every patient’s recovery needs.
Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy uses therapeutic exercises and activities, physical manipulation of the body and patient education to restore movement, balance and coordination to alleviate pain and increase mobility and quality of life. Physical therapy may use modalities including heat, cold, electrical stimulation and ultrasound to enhance treatment outcomes. Therapists collaborate with the patient and family to identify goals of treatment to help you return to improve functional abilities, helping you return to daily activities.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy provides the opportunity to acquire skills and/or compensatory techniques through activities of daily living retraining, adaptive equipment training, improving fine motor skills and preparing patient and family for transitioning back into the community. Emphasis is placed on promoting functional independence of each patient. Our Occupational Therapists work alongside patient and family to address their personal goals to increase quality of life.
Inpatient rehab services are available six days per week depending on the needs of the patient.
