Interested in a Telehealth Appointment?
Telehealth appointments are available Monday through Friday, from 9am to 3pm, during Summer Hours (5/15/25-8/15/25). These appointments are best for non-emergent issues that do not require a physical assessment or procedures. Telehealth services are also well-suited for follow-up care, chronic condition management (including asthma, allergies, hypertension, diabetes, etc.), prescription refills, and addressing routine health concerns (such as cold symptoms, skin rashes, etc.). Providers can order tests as needed, including labs, imaging, and micro tests.
Here’s what you can generally expect:
Technology Setup:
You will need a device with a camera and microphone, such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Please make sure you have a stable internet connection for smooth communication.
Pre-Appointment Instructions:
You will receive a phone call from a clinical staff member for a brief review of your medical history, obtain a list of current medications, collect insurance information and any other pertinent information related to your visit.
Check-In Process:
Just like at a physical office, you will need to check in. You will receive a link to join the telehealth visit via your personal email. Once accessing the link, you will be placed in a virtual waiting room until the provider is ready to begin your visit.
Consultation:
During the appointment, the healthcare provider will discuss your health concerns, review your medical history, and, if applicable, ask you to show them specific areas of concern.
Treatment Plan and Prescriptions:
After discussing your health issue, the provider will suggest a treatment plan and will electronically send prescriptions, order imaging and other lab work if needed.
Follow-Up:
You can schedule follow-up visits whenever you need them, either in person or via telehealth, depending on your condition.
Privacy and Security:
Your telehealth session should be conducted in a secure environment to protect your privacy.
Technical Issues:
Be prepared for potential technical difficulties and have a backup plan.
