In Memoriam – Joseph Shouse
It is with regret that we inform you that Med Center Health employee, Joseph Shouse, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Joseph worked as a Patient Safety Aide at The Medical Center at Bowling Green Central Transport since 2013. Please join us in extending our sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues.
“Joe Shouse was the kind of person who showed his love and kindness in the little things that meant the most. Every day, he made sure his wife Sharon had her favorite frozen slushie, knowing it would make her smile and brighten her shift. Almost every morning, he could be seen bringing her Coke and Chick-fil-A, always thinking of others before himself. Many of us remember meeting Joe at the elevator, where his warm smile and generous spirit were impossible to miss. If someone joked, “Where’s mine?” Joe would never hesitate to offer to go get them something, too. That was simply who he was. Joe was caring and thoughtful, always wanting to make someone’s day a little better. As a Patient Safety Aid, Joe brought that same compassion and kindness to everyone around him. He took care of people not because he had to, but because it was in his heart. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the joy, comfort, and warmth he shared so freely with others.” – Leslie Michaud
