Thank you for Making the Season Bright!

The virtual Make the Season Bright event was held December 7 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green with the annual lighting of a Christmas tree made all the brighter by lights representing donations. Included this year is a special strand of green lights in honor of our frontline healthcare heroes. A huge “thank you” to everyone who has donated to support the Hospitality House through Make the Season Bright and to Chris Allen, Classic Hits SAM 100.7, who emceed the event. The tree lighting was livestreamed on Med Center Health and Med Center Health Foundation Facebook pages, and the actual lighting was part of the WBKO 5 p.m. newscast.

The Hospitality House, located on the campus of The Medical Center at Bowling Green, provides a much needed respite for family members of patients at The Medical Center and Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital. The house also provides a comfortable place to stay for patients receiving cancer and other daily treatments who have trouble traveling to and from their homes.

As a reminder, donations are still being accepted through the end of the year. You can learn more about Make the Season Bright, see the list of honorees and donors and make a donation at LightUpTheTree.org.
