More than 100 certified MCBG nurses recognized

More than 100 nurses at The Medical Center at Bowling Green were recognized as certified nurses. The ceremony took place on Thursday in the MCBG auditorium. Each certified nurse had their name called and were given their very own custom white jacket.
Getting certified is the formal recognition of a nurses’ specialized knowledge, skills, and experience demonstrated by the achievement of standards identified by a nursing specialty to promote the best health outcomes. To put it plainly, certification is a testimony of a nurse’s experience, commitment, and excellence in patient care in a particular area. A certified nurse is a professional who chooses to go the extra mile in their education to prove their competence and dedication to their chosen nursing field.
Congratulations to everyone who was honored!
