MCH Cares: Employees Helping Employees

In the wake of the December 2021 tornadoes that impacted Bowling Green, Med Center Health introduced the MCH Cares Program in 2022 as a means for employees to help each other during economic hardship. While the devastation from this one natural disaster caused an immediate outpouring of support during a critical time for so many families, what it brought to light was the fact that economic hardships are happening every day for some of our co-workers. Their challenges and their needs aren’t publicized and garnering attention. These co-workers are many times facing hardships in silence.

The MCH Cares program gives these employees or their eligible dependents (spouse and dependent children) an opportunity to seek financial assistance if they are are unable to afford housing, utilities, and other needs because of a natural disaster, major medical event or serious illness or injury, death, or other catastrophic or extreme circumstance beyond the employee’s control. And, the program gives all Med Center Health employees the opportunity to reach out a hand and lend their support.

How You Can Help

To raise money for the MCH Cares fund, Med Center Health Foundation created the $2 Together for $4 Each Other payroll funding program that allows employees to come together and help ensure future financial help can be provided when needed. One hundred percent of donations are used for employees who need help during trying times.

The $2 Together for $4 Each Other funding program does not take away from current Med Center Health’s initiatives that remain important to our communities and are currently supported through Med Center Health Foundation’s Employees Contributing to Help Others (ECHO) program.

Please consider a new or additional donation through the ECHO program by completing an Employee Pledge Form.

How You Can Request Help

If you are a Med Center Health employee in need of assistance, log into Employee Central to fill out the MCH Cares Application Form under the Library tab. Information regarding eligibility, grants and the application process are outlined in the form.

Together, we will care for each other!
