GRADUATE NURSE RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Are you a May 2023 nursing graduate (or know someone who is)? If so, the Med Center Health Graduate Nurse Residency Program starts June 6, 2023.
Med Center Health offers a Graduate Nurse Residency Program designed to support and nurture new graduate nurses as they transition from a new graduate to an experienced and confident professional during the first 6 months of practice. Through this structured program, Med Center Health provides the support and resources that graduate nurses need to make this transition successful. The Graduate Nurse Residency includes:
- Didactic presentations and discussion on clinical topics and patient situations
- Simulation with multiple patient situations and critical patient changes in a safe learning environment
- Hands-on experience with equipment
- Interdepartmental visits
- Department-specific classes to meet the unique requirements of your nursing unit
- Critical care classes for specialty nursing units
- Preceptor-led unit orientation
- Interdisciplinary teaching
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification training
- Pediatric Life Support certification training
- Trauma Informed training

STUDENT NURSE EXTERN PROGRAM
The Student Nurse Extern Program builds skill and confidence at the bedside under the mentorship of a licensed nurse who is invested in your success. To qualify, an SNE must be currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed the first semester of their program.
Program Offerings:
- Strengthening of core clinical and organization nursing skills
