Good Samaritan – Albina Khamdiyeva

Congratulations to Albina Khamdiyeva, Pharmacy Technician at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, on receiving the Good Samaritan Award. Albina was nominated for going above and beyond to provide care to a patient’s loved one.

Albina went above and beyond helping a patient’s spouse here at the Med Center. First, she found someone’s cellphone that was accidentally left on a bench outside the facility. She received a call from its owner and patiently waited until he arrived to return it. Then, the following week, she spotted a man struggling to move his wheelchair in the parking lot while it was raining. Albina didn’t hesitate to help the man into the building, learning that he couldn’t move his wheelchair because its battery had died in the rain while he looked for his car. Albina stayed with him until security arrived. She also noticed that his phone looked familiar and was surprised to find that this man was the same person she helped the prior week. Since he came to pick up the phone in the same car, Albina was able to give security more information about the car. We in the pharmacy are extremely proud and grateful to have Albina on our team and think she is an excellent role model for what to do when someone is in need.” – Paul Manning
