WKDI Achieves Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Reaccreditation

Congratulations to Western Kentucky Diagnostic Imaging for achieving reaccreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) for Stereotactic Breast Biopsy. This accreditation shows patients that the facility has maintained excellence in everything from day-to-day operations to patient care.

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting specific requirements based on ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.

In addition to Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, WKDI maintains accreditations and designations for:

  • Breast Ultrasound
  • Mammography
  • Computed Tomography
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Designated Lung Cancer Screening Center

The American College of Radiology is comprised of physicians, physicists and technology experts in radiology and radiation oncology, and is the oldest and most experienced imaging and radiation oncology accreditation body, with more than 30 years of experience in imaging and radiation oncology accreditation.
