The Medical Center at Bowling Green awarded the fastest door to needle time

The Norton Healthcare/UK HealthCare – Stroke Care Network has recognized The Medical Center at Bowling Green for the fastest Door to Needle time across the network for the previous quarter.

With any stroke, time is crucial and calling 911 immediately for signs of a stroke is key to receiving the appropriate medical care. The Emergency Department was able to administer a clot busting medication to a patient in only 17 minutes after arrival to the ED by EMS. The Medical Center at Bowling Green is certified by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and is committed to providing excellent stroke care.
