The bg26.2 & Half Marathon is this weekend!
Med Center Health is proud to sponsor the bg26.2 & Half Marathon, “The Race to Beat MS.” The event includes a marathon, half marathon, bg6000 (5K + one more “K”), MS 1-Mile Walk, and bgKids Fun Run.
Saturday, November 6
National Corvette Museum
- Packet pickup and Expo & Pasta Dinner – 5-8 p.m.
- MS Walk – 4 p.m. (National Corvette Museum parking lot)
Sunday, November 7
Bowling Green Ballpark (start and finish)
- Marathon & half marathon – 7 a.m.
- bg6000 – 7:30 a.m.
- bgKids – 12:30 p.m.
The Boston Marathon-qualifying USATF-certified course (13.1 mile loop) starts at the Bowling Green Ballpark and runs through historic downtown Bowling Green and the beautiful WKU campus. (Marathoners will run the course twice.) Runners will finish at the Bowling Green Ball Park. There will be a 6-hour time limit on the race. After 6 hours, participants must move to the sidewalks or extreme right side of the road. There will be cyclists on the course to assist runners when needed.
