Sara Glanz & Dustin Bateman recognized by Kentucky Hospital Association

Congratulations to Sara Glanz, Clinical Nutrition Manager at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, for not only being selected to present at this year’s Kentucky Hospital Association Quality Conference, but also for winning in the category of Quality Leadership / Strategic Development / AI! Sara presented her team’s work focusing on improving care for patients with malnutrition. The project highlighted the interdisciplinary collaboration between the clinical dietitians, clinical documentation improvement (CDI) team, nursing, and physicians. Together, they were able to achieve a 10-fold increase in patients identified and diagnosed with malnutrition. Earlier identification and accurate diagnosing of malnutrition helps to ensure patients are receiving targeted nutrition interventions to improve their clinical outcomes.

We also congratulate Dustin Bateman, Clinical Outcomes Specialist at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, for being selected to present at the conference. Dustin presented “Predict, Prevent, Protect: Can AI Be Used to Prevent Falls?”

Thank you both for your dedication to advancing innovation and improving patient care!
