Real Men Wear Pink a success!

October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month and also kicked off the Real Men Wear Pink fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, which ran through November. Our communities and the Med Center Health family rose to the occasion! Diego Cabrera, MD, oncologist with Med Center Health Hematology & Oncology, was this year’s Med Center Health “Real Man.” The team of Dr. Cabrera and his office staff raised a total of $6,373 for the American Cancer Society.

Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s efforts, especially all those who bought sweatshirts, or who donated silent auction items, baked goods and crafts. Many of the crafts were handmade by members of our chemo staff, including Julie Burba, Krista Hampton, Sheila Pike and Liz Hudgins. Learn more about Real Men Wear Pink at acsevents.org.
