Over the Edge

Med Center Health was honored to once again serve as a Presenting Sponsor of Over the Edge on Saturday, September 26 at Stadium Park Plaza in downtown Bowling Green. This event highlights the impact that BRACAC is making in the lives of children of our community. The center offers a child-friendly location where teams of professionals work together to pursue justice and offer treatment for child sexual abuse victims. In 2025, 1,165 child victims and their families were given a chance at healing through direct services of BRACAC.

Three representatives from Women’s Health Specialists stepped up to the edge of the Stadium Park Plaza roof and went over to rappel down the 5-story building. Dr. Meghann Burns, Dr. Dixi Secula, and Meg Thomason symbolically stepped into a moment of vulnerability that represents the fear, uncertainty, and courage that children face when they disclose abuse.

Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center (BRACAC) hosted its annual Over the Edge event on Saturday, September 26 at Stadium Park Plaza in downtown Bowling Green. Med Center Health volunteers helped with the Kids Korner with face painting and other kids’ activities.
