October Employee of the Month – Myla “Micki” Robinson Piper

Congratulations to Myla “Micki” Robinson Piper for being named Employee of the Month for October 2025. Micki works for Food Services at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Micki was nominated for her dedication and how important she has become to both the employee and community’s experience here at Med Center Health.
“I love going through Micki’s line in the cafeteria. I have witnessed her buying staff and visitor’s meals several times when they didn’t have enough money. She is very aware of who she is serving and will pray with staff and visitors to help during their time of need. She calls us all by name and will even learn the names of visitors. She is an amazing asset to our organization, by bringing her positivity that brightens all of our days. I am nominating her to show that her positive and inspiring attitude is very noticed and appreciated.” – April Riney
“Wanted to share a quick story with you all because it was such a reminder to me how our actions impact others. I went downstairs to the hospital cafeteria a few minutes ago and couldn’t decide on a drink. I asked the woman working the cash register if she had ever tried this chocolate protein shake I was looking at. She said “Let me just get you a cup and open it up and let you try it.” That was all it took. I started sobbing. We are nervous, scared, and emotional, and her act of kindness overwhelmed me…” – Facebook post from a wife of a young open-heart patient
“Micki is the recipient of many a Mission Moments. I cannot remember the specific details on all of them, because I don’t have the details after we pass it to her. One of them I can recall. It was a patient’s family member who had had another family member in the hospital in recent past. Micki remembered her face and took the time to ask her if she was okay. The lady was emotional, so Micki asked her if she would like to pray. The lady did, so they prayed together. That moment of connection is what stuck out for this patient’s family member during her elderly parent’s hospital stay.” – Aleia Bow
