Med Center opens up 74-year-old time capsule

In celebration of the hospital’s 100th Anniversary, Med Center Health opened a time capsule that had been placed in the foundation of the old hospital in 1952.

Thanks to Gary Sullivan’s help, the nearly three-quarters-of-a-century-old repository was pried open. Inside, the capsule contained a bible, a copy of the Park City Daily News, letters to the future openers, photos, and hospital staff rosters.

The event featured speeches from Connie Smith, Joe Natcher, and Christi Pruitt. Thank you to Christi, unofficial hospital historian, for helping find this lost relic, and thank you to Corie Martin for helping set up such a great event.
