Med Center Health & Wellness hosts first Teaching Kitchen

Earlier this month, Med Center Health & Wellness hosted its very first teaching kitchen. This teaching kitchen was open to the public and led by executive chef Jamie Imas and registered dietitian Alyssa Hammonds. Participants were able to make the recipe along with the chef and take home a high fiber salad to enjoy for lunch. Alyssa discussed the health benefits of what they were preparing along with substitutes, additions, etc. participants could do at home. The event was also used to discuss colon cancer risk, screening and prevention.
