Med Center Health Welcomes Baylor Blickenstaff, M.D.
Med Center Health is pleased to welcome UK HealthCare physician Baylor Blickenstaff, M.D. to our orthopaedics & sports medicine team. Dr. Blickenstaff recognizes that shared decision-making is of the utmost importance. He helps his patients understand their condition and all options available to them, whether operative or non-operative solutions, so they are confident in their treatment plan.
“Seeing improvement in a patient’s function and quality of life after diagnosing and treating a problem is extremely rewarding and the reason I went into Orthopaedic Surgery,” says Dr. Blickenstaff.
Dr. Blickenstaff’s medical interests include arthroscopic treatment of the hip, knee, shoulder and elbow as well as robotic knee and hip joint replacements. Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine, he served as a team physician for multiple sports teams over the course of his residency and fellowship training including football, baseball and gymnastics.
Dr. Blickenstaff earned his medical degree from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia and his fellowship training in Sports Medicine at American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Blickenstaff joins the current team of providers at Med Center Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, located in the Riverside Professional Center. He will also hold specialty clinics in Albany and Scottsville.
