Med Center Health hosts Safe and Exceptional Care Fair

Last week, team members from across the organization participated in the Safe and Exceptional Care Fair, an interactive event designed to promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient experiences. The fair provided an opportunity for staff to engage with key safety initiatives and learn practical ways to support safe, high-quality care every day.

Attendees visited a variety of educational booths covering important topics, including incident reporting, CLABSI and CAUTI prevention, chest pain care, hospital-acquired pressure injury (HAPI) prevention, fall prevention, and infection prevention, with a focus on hand hygiene and proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment. Staff also learned more about the Blue Band Project for pre-eclampsia recognition, the use of CUS safety words to promote speaking up for safety concerns, and the importance of our Values, Behaviors, and AIDET principles in creating exceptional patient experiences.

The event reinforced that safe and exceptional care is everyone’s responsibility and highlighted the many ways our teams work together to prevent harm, improve outcomes, and provide compassionate care. Thank you to all of the team members who prepared and hosted booths, shared their expertise, and helped make the event a success.
