Med Center Health celebrates Clinical Support Week

Med Center Health has spent the last week celebrating Clinical Support Week, a time to recognize and honor the invaluable contributions of our clinical support staff who help make quality patient care possible every day. These dedicated team members serve as essential partners to our nurses and providers, ensuring that patients receive compassionate, attentive care.
The Medical Center at Bowling Green hosted a pancake breakfast, delivered snack baskets to all units, and gave out popcorn and candy.
Clinical support staff play a vital role in patient care by collecting and documenting essential clinical data, including vital signs which help nurses and providers assess patients and make informed treatment decisions. They are also partners in promoting patient mobility and independence through the hospitalization. By encouraging and assisting patients with activities they can perform on their own, clinical support staff help maintain and improve functional abilities, with the goal of ensuring patients return home with the same or even greater level of independence than when they were admitted.
They often spend the most time with our patients, performing tasks that may seem small but have a tremendous impact from assisting with activities of daily living and helping patients with meals, to providing comfort, dignity and kindness. Their commitment, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond are woven into everything they do, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and our healthcare team.
