Med Center Health breaks ground on new Glasgow facility
Hundreds of people from Med Center Health, the Barren County Chamber of Commerce, and the Glasgow community all came together on Thursday to see the official groundbreaking of Med Center Health’s newest expansion project, Med Center Health Glasgow.
Contractor Scott, Murphy and Daniel, in partnership with Stengel Hill Architecture, will now begin construction on a new 22,000 square foot facility dedicated to providing primary and specialty care to residents of Barren and surrounding counties. Med Center Health Glasgow will also feature an outpatient diagnostic imaging center which will offer radiology, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, CT and MRI.
Physicians will hold regular clinic hours at the new facility, and planned specialties include primary care, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, ENT, oncology, hematology, orthopaedics and sports medicine, with other specialties possibly being added; based on future needs.
The facility is expected to be completed by Spring of 2025. Thank you to Wade Stone for representing Med Center Health so well at the podium, and thank you to everyone that came out to the event and showed support.
