In Memoriam – Vercinea Pace

It is with regret we inform you Med Center Health employee Vercinea Pace passed away on April 15, 2024. Vercinea worked for us from October 2004 until April 2024 as a Switchboard Operator at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.  Please join us in extending sympathies to her family, friends and colleagues.

“In remembrance of our beloved coworker and friend, Vercinea Pace, whose bright spirit and contagious laughter brought warmth to our workplace. I was given the pleasure of working with Vercinea for almost two years. Though our time was short, the impact she made in my life is immeasurable. Her memory will continue to inspire us to cherish every moment and to strive for kindness and compassion in all that we do. Rest peacefully, dear friend, knowing you will always hold a special place in our hearts at Med Center Health.” – Hallie Cassady

“I’ll miss seeing Vercinea’s friendly smile when I pop my head into the Switchboard office.  I’ll miss having a quick conversation with her in the hospital hallway or at the crosswalk.  I was so thrilled one year to learn she’d entered artwork in the Women in the Arts exhibit.  You could tell she was excited and proud about her accomplishment.  The Medical Center has lost a good one.”  – Marsha Nauman

“Over nearly 20 years, Vercinea’s voice has become so ingrained with the operations of the hospital that it will be impossible to fill the void she leaves behind. Above all else, I will miss her smile and the friendly conversations that we shared.” – Trey Cohron

“Vercinea was always faithful in her attendance to serve others through her role as a Switchboard Operator at Med Center Health, even on days when I know she did not feel well.  She was always professional and very kind to everyone.” – Dennis Chaney

“I am so glad I had the opportunity to work with Vercinea in the switchboard. She was always extremely kind and helpful. She was a great coworker, and I am positive she will be missed by many.” – Carter Morgan

“I will always be grateful for the wisdom she imparted upon me. I worked with her for five years and enjoyed her company. She will be missed.” – Geneva Blanton
