Home Care Program spreads holiday joy
The Medical Center Home Care Program spread a little Christmas cheer to residents at area assisted living facilities with a wave parade on December 7. The facilities were contacted with a date and time and many residents anxiously awaited the parade’s arrival outside as well as watching through windows inside. Participants in the parade blew their horns and played Christmas music to let those inside know they are not forgotten!
“I would encourage everyone to find ways to safely bring some joy to our elderly population,” said Marla Thompson, Home Care Clinical Supervisor. “They’ve had little interaction and been quarantined for months. I promise you, it will bless you as much as them!”
