Healthy Vending giveaway winner announced!
The Med Center Health Get Fit Club brought back its “Healthy Vending Program” to help promote healthy eating when employees are purchasing from an MCH vending machine. The Get Fit Club is the MCH employee wellness program, designed to assist employees with meeting their wellness goals. The Healthy Vending initiative is only a small part of the MCH Get Fit Club, but a very important one.
The Get Fit Club partnered with 5 Star Vending in an effort to draw awareness to the benefits of healthy snacking. 5-Star Vending donated a Festive Family Fun night package to be given away during a random draw on December 18th, as part of the Healthy Vending – ‘Simple Pleasures’, program renewal.
The package included 4 tickets to SKyPAC’s A Charlie Brown Christmas – Live on Stage, a $100 gift certificate to Mellow Mushroom and a vending snack basket. Occupational therapist, Kassidy M. was the winner of the Simple Pleasures – Healthy Vending giveaway!
Five-Star vending has made it easy for us to make good choices during snack time. They have a nutritionist-created healthy criteria, called Choice Plus. Choice Plus snacks are better for you because they are lower in calories, fats, sodium & sugar. The Choice Plus snacks help you choose right and they are located on the right of vending machine. Consider trying a Choice Plus item next during your snack time!
