ποΈ Build Crosses the Finish Line
As of May 25, we waved the checkered flag on the workflow build phase and shifted gears into the User and System Readiness phase, where everything gets tuned up for go-live.
Looking under the hood right now:
- Councils and Workgroups are starting their readiness journeys; weβre planning for changes that will have the greatest impact to staff
- Analysts began system testing, confirming our workflows function in Epic
π§ The Pit Crew is Ready: We Have Super Users!
Behind every fast car is a great pit crew, and behind every smooth go-live are great Super Users. These are the go-to people on the floor who help teammates with their Epic questions. Thank you to the 552 people who have volunteered to be a Super User!
Here is whatβs ahead:
- Super User checklists roll out next month with everything you need to prepare
- Keep an eye out for key dates and more information as we map the road ahead.
π¦ Managers, Start Your Engines: Readiness Check-Ins Coming
Go-live takes a lot of preparation, and managers are key to getting each department to the starting line. As we prepare, service line leaders will send out Manager Readiness Checklists at key milestones. These help gauge how prepared each department is for go-live and flag anything needing attention. The first checklist arrives next month, so watch for more information soon.
π« Time to Hit the Track: Training is on the Horizon
A few things to know about Epic training:
- If you qualified to test out of training, we will be in touch with next steps.
- Training registration opens the week of July 27.
- To make sign-ups easy, we are hosting in-person registration workshops July 28 through 30 to help managers get their team members registered. More information to come.
π₯οΈ Fresh Gear Rolling Into the Garage: Hardware Delivery
New equipment is on its way. Hardware deliveries have begun and will continue through July, bringing in the devices our teams will rely on every day. As gear arrives, our IT team will handle placement and setup. Thanks in advance for your patience while the new equipment rolls in.
New Feature Spotlight: Chart with Art
Imagine charting that keeps pace with you instead of slowing you down. Meet Chart with Art, Epicβs AI charting capability built natively into the system.
Using ambient listening, Chart with Art turns the natural conversation between a clinician and a patient into draft documentation and can even suggest orders and diagnoses. For nurses, it captures tasks, assessments, patient education, flowsheets, and more with voice alone. Because it lives inside Epic and uses our own build, it integrates seamlessly into your workflows.
The payoff: less time facing a screen and more time facing patients. Clinicians report that AI charting reduces documentation burden and gives them back the part of medicine they love most, the face-to-face connection with patients. That is Driving Excellence, right out of the gate.
Thank you for keeping us moving.
Every checklist completed and every session attended brings us one lap closer to the finish line.
