πŸŽ’ Full Throttle: Training Registration is Open!

This is the moment we’ve been building toward since kickoff, and it’s time to step behind the wheel of the new system. 58% of Med Center staff are now registered for Epic classes.

Looking under the hood right now:

  • Councils and Workgroups are starting their readiness journeys; we’re planning for changes that will have the greatest impact to staff

Analysts began system testing, confirming our workflows function in Epic

πŸ“’ Not Registered Yet? Sign Up By September 4

Managers are registering staff for training, and the Epic Education team is here to help your team get signed up without a hitch. Think of it as your pit crew, standing by to answer questions and get you back on track fast.

Questions about training or registration? We have options:

Managers: Join a Summit in September

Manager Summits kicked off August 4, with additional sessions September 1 and 29. Managers should join one of the offerings to learn what to expect from training, how to support their teams through the process, and how to keep everyone moving toward go live at top speed.

🚦Fueling Up: Super Users, Start Your Engines

Our Super Users are the pit crew every team needs, and their training officially kicked off August 4 with Super User Basics sessions.

Here is what’s ahead:

  • Super User checklists roll out next month with everything you need to prepare

Keep an eye out for key dates and more information as we map the road ahead.

Super User E-Learnings

Each Super User has additional E-Learning courses assigned in their EpicU dashboard. These include lessons covering Inpatient Clinicals, Inpatient Provider Support, Outpatient Clinicals, Outpatient Provider Support, Procedural areas, and more.

If you’re a Super User, log in and complete the modules relevant to the areas you’re supporting. These courses are designed to broaden understanding of Epic workflows and help our SuperUsers feel confident when assisting their co-workers.

If you’re a Super User, thank you for getting in gear.

🏁 Checkered Flag: Testing Laps Complete

Two big milestones just crossed the finish line. Both were critical to ensuring Epic performs the way our teams need, from scheduling and registration, to clinical workflows to billing and claims.

  • Application Testing – Complete
  • Integrated Testing – Complete

A huge thank you to everyone who logged hours testing, flagging issues, and fine tuning the system. Every test completed gets us one lap closer to go live.

πŸ”© Under The Hood: Cool Feature of the Month

This month we’re popping the hood on a feature that will change how your team works with data every day: Reporting Workbench, also known as RWB. RWB puts the information your team needs right at their fingertips.

πŸ“ŠReporting Workbench (RWB)

Also known as “My Reports,” RWB gives users real time reports they can review and act on. Instead of static spreadsheets, RWB reports pull live data straight from Epic, so the information your team sees is always current.

Reports can be sorted and filtered to fit the way your team works, and saved as personal favorites for quick access. Best of all, RWB reports are actionable: staff can jump straight into a patient’s chart, send a MyChart message, or place a bulk order for a group of patients, all from the same report. Whether you’re tracking a department’s daily numbers or following up on a specific group of patients, RWB puts the answer one click away.

🟒Green Light, Green Dot: Hardware Deployment Update

Our hardware team is putting devices through their paces. Devices that pass Technology Device Readiness (TDR) get a green dot sticker, your signal that a device is cleared and ready for Epic. 🟒Green dot = Passed TDR = Ready for Epic

⚠  Important: If You Spot A Green Dot, Leave It Right Where It Is

Moving devices or removing stickers can throw off tracking and create headaches down the road.

  • Do not remove the green dot sticker.
  • Do not move or relocate the hardware, even temporarily.

Questions about equipment in your workspace? Contact the IT Service Desk. They’re happy to help.
