Domestic Water Pump Replacement at MCBG – Jan. 18

The Medical Center at Bowling Green will do a domestic water pump replacement on Saturday, January 18th. The replacement will begin at approximately 3:00 a.m. and will require water access to be shut off at most MCBG departments for up to 24 hours.

Areas affected:

  • A, B & C towers will have no hot or cold water.
  • 1st floor from the Cancer Center to Administration will have no hot or cold water
  • D Tower and half of Surgery will have cold water only but no heat. This means the toilets will flush, and they will have cold water at sinks.
  • Outpatient to include: Endo, MRI, OP Holding and OP Recovery will have hot and cold water – no disruption.
  • Portable restrooms will be available for staff to use via trailer-type facilities that will be located at the Main Entrance, Diagnostic Imaging entrance and the main loading dock near the Doctors’ parking lot. Locations subject to change. D Tower and outpatient restrooms will be operational.
  • Clinical staff has a plan for patient waste that will be communicated internally.
  • Portable handwashing stations will be distributed to each department.

Once the project is complete, we will send an email and a text message.
