December 2024 Employee of the Month – Kimberly Skipworth

Congratulations to December 2024 Employee of the Month – Kimberly Skipworth, House Administrator at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Please see her nomination below:

“Over the past year of working at The Med Center as part of the Internal Agency program, Kim has been the most incredible House Admin I have ever had the honor to work with. She is always calm, rational, and beyond helpful in stressful or emergent situations. It is clear she is not only knowledgeable but has a great deal of empathy for not only the patients here but for all staff she encounters. During a code recently, Kim managed the chaos in the room as it occurred during shift change and was high stress. She is able to ensure not only that interventions occur but that employees are taken care of both during and after the events. She consistently is the calm during the storm and is the person I know I can reach out to when I need help, to ask her advice, or talk through anything from patient conditions to situations with providers or family members. To be able to trust a superior implicitly and know she has your back is something you don’t find everywhere, and is so crucial for overall wellbeing in healthcare. If there was an employee of the year, it would be her. When you have reached out to her regarding any issue, she always follows up to make sure you or your patient are okay and offers any help you may need in the plan of care. I am so incredibly grateful to have met and worked with her, and would love if this could be shared with her regardless if she “wins” or not, though I wholeheartedly believe she does.
