Nicole expressed her appreciation for being selected as a winner in the Simple Pleasures- Healthy Vending Program Drawing. Nicole states that healthy snacks are extremely important, because she relies on nutritious snacks to help maintain her energy levels throughout the workday. Having healthier choices available keeps her focused and productive, while also helping curb unhealthy sweet cravings. Nicole’s healthy snack option from the vending machine is a pack of nuts or mixed nuts.
“Move more, sit less,” said Collins. “Incorporating simple movement throughout the day, whether it’s taking short walks, stretching, or standing periodically, can make a significant difference in overall health and energy levels.”

Five Star Food Service has partnered with the MCH Get Fit Club by offering the Simple Pleasures – Health Vending Program. The Simple Pleasures – Health Vending Program ensures there are healthier options in the vending machine. These healthier options are located to the right of the machine with a green labeled spiral. They also sponsor a random prize drawing for MCH employees that choose a healthy option at snack time. Employee just need to submit their name using the QR code, located on each vending machine to be entered in the random drawing pool.
