Runyon and Fykes Honored by Franklin Simpson Human Rights Commission

Annette Runyon, Vice President and Administrator of The Medical Center at Franklin, and Maria Fykes, RN at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, were honored on Saturday, March 27 during a virtual presentation of the Franklin Simpson Human Rights Commission’s Women History Month Celebration 2021.

The Franklin Simpson Human Rights Commission honored these outstanding ladies in the category of Women in Medicine as unsung heroes who have made an impact on the community and women’s history.

Annette has worked in healthcare for 27 years, joining Med Center Health in 2000. She has worked in Franklin since 2007, and has served as Vice President and Administrator of the Franklin hospital since 2016. 

Maria Fykes, RN is a clinical staff nurse on the 4D Open Heart Recovery/Vascular Surgery Unit at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Maria joined Med Center Health in 2017 and is a lifelong resident of Franklin.
