New COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccine now available
On Thursday, September 15, 2022, Employee Health began offering the new Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 bivalent booster to Med Center Health employees. This new bivalent booster will provide better protection against COVID-19 disease caused by the original and omicron BA.4/BA.5 coronavirus variants of SARS-CoV-2. It may be administered at least two months after completion of primary vaccination or receipt of the most recent booster dose with any authorized or approved monovalent COVID-19 vaccine.
The vaccine will be given by appointment only in the MCH Employee Health Office at MCBG campus or by contacting your employee health representative at the rural hospitals (see below).
