It’s “Make The Season Bright” Time at all MCH hospitals

On Monday, November 28, the first Make The Season Bright event was held at The Medical Center at Caverna. Nearly 100 community members and staff were on hand to hear Christmas music, enjoy cookies and cocoa, see Santa, and light the tree. Dr. James Crews, who has practiced medicine in Horse Cave for over 50 years, was the official tree lighter.

What is the Make the Season Bright Program?

For more than 25 years, Med Center Health Foundation’s Make the Season Bright program has offered a uniquely thoughtful way to honor someone you know while supporting health-centered missions for those in our community who need help. It’s like giving two meaningful gifts with a single gesture!

How does the program work?

Anyone can donate to purchase a holiday light in honor or in memory of someone special in their lives at $10, $25, $50, or $100 levels. In Albany, poinsettias may be reserved for $25. Acknowledgement cards will be sent to those being honored. Donations from this year’s Make The Season Bright will help support the Hospitality House in Bowling Green and Foundation initiatives in Allen County, Clinton County, Hart County and Simpson County.

Upcoming Make The Season Bright events:

  • Monday, December 5, 5 p.m.- The Medical Center at Scottsville (Santa is coming!)
  • Tuesday, December 6, 5:30 p.m.- The Medical Center Bowling Green (Santa is coming! So are Elizabeth Rhodes and Jenn Mackin, Bowling Green residents who just won The Food Network Gingerbread House Competition.)
