May Employee of the Month – Lance Rogers
Congratulations to Lance Rogers for being named Employee of the Month for May 2025. Lance is an Engineering Specialist at The Medical Center at Scottsville and Cal-Turner Rehab & Specialty Care. Lance was nominated for his continued dedication to employees and patients. The following is a submission from Lance’s coworker:
“Lance Rogers is being nominated for Employee of the Month due to his commitment to The Medical Center at Scottsville and Cal Turner Rehab and Specialty Care. Lance has been at the Medical Center at Scottsville/Cal Turner for six years and almost 20 years with Med Center, overall. On the outside looking in, you wouldn’t think someone in his position would have the relationships he has with the residents and patients we serve. Our Residents know him by name. They have put their trust in him, not only because he does what is asked, but because he does things around the facility that are not “expected” of him. Example… one time, he noticed an employee taking garbage out to the dumpster, while it was raining. Lance pulled an umbrella out and held it above her so she did not get wet. Another time, an employee was on the side of the road with a flat tire on her way to work. This employee was able to call him because she knew he was someone that would assist her in getting to work. He changed her tire and drove her car to work. He never complains when completing a task, even when asked to put bird feeders out. Lance talks to residents and has developed relationships with them, instead of just fixing what is broken. Lance deserves to be recognized as Employee of the Month for his hard work.” – Jennifer Tabb
