Make the Season Bright

This year’s Make the Season Bright virtual event was a success thanks to the generosity and support of our community, employees, physicians and board members. Many thanks to everyone who donated and who tuned in to WBKO to watch the lighting of the tree.

“For 25 years, this event has always been filled with loving tributes and remembrances of those endeared to us during a very special season,” said Carla Reagan, Director of the Hospitality House. “If possible, this year’s event was even more poignant as we accepted gifts not only in support of the Hospitality House, but also in honor and memory of Dr. Rebecca D. Shadowen. Dr. Shadowen worked tirelessly before her own death earlier this year, addressing the dangers of, and best practices against, infectious diseases such as COVID-19. While many more gifts will come in during the remainder of the month, over $15,000 has already been raised in support of the Hospitality House and the Dr. Rebecca D. Shadowen Research and Education Fund.”

Donations are being accepted through Make the Season Bright until December 31. To learn more, make a donation, and see a current list of sponsors and donors, visit LightUpTheTree.org.
