Help Med Center Health Save Lives
Med Center Health has joined other area hospitals and healthcare organizations to create a donation-friendly community through the Workplace Partnership for Life Hospital Campaign for organ donation. This national initiative, sponsored by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, challenges healthcare organizations to educate employees, patients, visitors, and the community about the crucial need for organ, eye, and tissue donation and gives them opportunities to sign up as donors. More than 575,000 people have added their names to state registries through this campaign.
“Signing up for organ and tissue donation is easy and fast,” says Georgena Brackett, Director of Health Information Management, “and the time you take to do that now really could make the difference in many lives in the future. Join the thousands in our Med Center Health family who have already signed up and help us get the word out. Talk to your family members and friends so they understand the importance of this lifesaving step.”
We need your involvement and support to help us register new organ, eye, and tissue donors in our state registry by April 30, 2022. For each donor we register and each activity we implement to promote organ, eye, and tissue donation, we’ll earn points toward national recognition from HRSA.
We are asking everyone to help us educate staff members, patients and their families, visitors, and the extended community on the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donation. If you are interested inbecoming actively involved in this effort, contact Georgena Brackett at BracGA@mchealth.net or 270-745-1276.
And please take a few minutes today to add your name to our state’s donor registry. Someday you may save a life. Visit donatelifeky.org to find out how.
