Good Samaritan – Katlin Davis
Congratulations to Katlin Davis on receiving the Good Samaritan Award! Katlin was nominated for her kindness with a family that visited our Scottsville Emergency Department. Time after time, Katlin steps in with empathy and action, ensuring every patient and family feels supported during their most difficult moments.
“While caring for a patient in January, Katlin went to Dollar General and purchased snacks and diapers for a patient in the ED. She also made sure the juvenile patient’s mom was taken care of. They were waiting to be transferred to Vanderbilt and had not eaten and needed diapers. The hospital could have provided food and diapers but Katlin went and purchased these things out of the kindness of her heart” – Tana Taylor
“We are proud to recognize Katlin Davis for truly exemplifying what it means to be a Good Samaritan! Time and time again, she goes above and beyond to ensure our patients are cared for, not just clinically, but compassionately. She consistently shows kindness, compassion, and selflessness to some of our most vulnerable patients coming through the Emergency Department, meeting them where they are during some of the hardest moments of their lives. One instance that perfectly captures her heart for patient care involved a pediatric patient and a very worried mom who were awaiting transfer to a higher level of care. Seeing their needs and anxiety, Katlin didn’t hesitate. She personally left the facility to purchase snacks, diapers and formula; doing whatever it took to bring comfort, reassurance, and dignity during a stressful time. Her actions helped ease a mother’s fears and ensured the baby had what was needed while they waited. This is who she is every day. Her focus is always on patient care and creating the best possible experience for those we serve. She is always willing to jump in, help in any department, and support her team without hesitation. A natural leader, a compassionate caregiver, and an incredible teammate. She is truly a great asset to Med Center Health! Thank you, Katlin, for your unwavering dedication, leadership, and the compassion you show our patients and community every single day.” – Tracy Tabor
