Foundation introduces MCH Cares Program during ECHO’s Derby festivities

On May 4, Med Center Health Foundation held Kentucky Derby-themed festivities in The Medical Center Auditorium as the ECHO Committee (Employees Contributing to Help Others) kicked off the MCH Cares Program.

Employees enjoyed lunch and fun activities including a Derby hat competition, silent auction and stick horse races. They also had the opportunity to learn about the new Med Center Health employee giving program, MCH Cares.

Through the MCH Cares Program, Med Center Health employees can help fellow employees during economic hardship. By donating $2, $4 or more per pay period, you can ensure future financial help is available when needed.

It was evident by the overwhelming response to the Med Center Health Tornado Relief Fund that employees want to help their colleagues and friends in time of need. To date, the Tornado Relief Fund has raised more than $155,000 from employees and many of the Foundation’s community partners to assist employees impacted by the December 2021 tornadoes. The MCH Cares Program provides an opportunity to help employees not only affected by natural disasters but also major medical events or serious illness or injury, death or other catastrophic or extreme circumstances beyond the employee’s control.

If you missed the ECHO Derby event, plan to stop by the Foundation’s table during the Hospital Week Picnic on Wednesday, May 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  You can learn more about the program, sign up as an ECHO donor or increase your pledge if you are already an ECHO donor.  Or, to sign up or increase your pledge online, fill out the form at medcenterhealth.org/ECHO.
