Find out how you could save a life
Every year, 12,000 patients are diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers or diseases, such as sickle cell, for which a blood stem cell transplant from an unrelated donor may be their only chance at a cure.
Be the Match Donor Registry Drive
October 5-7
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Med Center Health Medical Education Complex
Enter through the parking garage on the second floor.
Be the Match focuses on recruiting new bone marrow registry members, especially ages 18 to 35. This is based on medical research that shows younger donors are best for patients and provide the greatest chance for transplant success. Doctors request donors in the 18 to 35 age group 75% of the time.
Can’t attend the event? Join the Be The Match Bone Marrow Registry® at BeTheMatch.org. If you have questions about bone marrow donation and the Be the Match process, contact registry drive organizer Kendal Pryor at kendalpryor@yahoo.com or (270) 881-8077.
