Expectant Parent Fair Delivers Once Again
The Medical Center’s Expectant Parent Fair, held on May 7 at The Medical Center-WKU Health Sciences Complex, once again delivered on an exceptional event for expectant parents and their family members with about 400 people in attendance. The Health Sciences Complex was packed with vendor booths and demonstrations throughout the first floor of the facility with over 40 vendors, including Med Center Health departments.
In addition to the vendors who represented local community organizations and businesses, the fair gave expectant parents the opportunity to learn more about The Medical Center’s OB services including educational classes and lactation services and gain valuable instruction on safe sleep practices and infant CPR. A shuttle, provided by Barren River Adult Day Center, took participants to the hospital for tours of the OB ED, Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum.
The event featured many free giveaways and samples and fantastic door prizes. One lucky participant drove away with a year’s supply of diapers!
